DOTS (Dynamic Orientation Tags System) is a complex of devices and softwares that helps blind and visually impaired people use different London train services without staff or other people assistance using the method of RFID readers and tags by creating ‘local GPS’ system.
DOTS’ RFID scanner is located on two front different angled sides of the device to increase it’s productivity in any position (on cane, arm or in a hand).
The main body is made of rubber that makes it cheaper in production. Rubber body and handles help the reader to hold more tightly on differently shaped canes because of increased friction.
